General Situation:
A broad trough of low pressure will affect the northern part of the South China Sea to the seas east of Luzon in the next few days. Two areas of low pressure may exist over the trough of low pressure. However, there are uncertainties in their subsequent development and movement. The area of low pressure over the northern part of the South China Sea is expected to develop slightly, and has a higher chance to move towards the vicinity of Hainan Island in the next couple of days. Under the combined effect of the area of low pressure and a ridge of high pressure over southeastern China, it will be windier with showers over the coast of Guangdong midweek this week. Meanwhile, the area of low pressure to the east of Luzon will generally move towards the vicinity of Taiwan. With the whole low pressure system edging closer to the vicinity of the coast of southeastern China to southern China, the weather over the region will be unsettled in the latter part of this week.
