The northeast monsoon is expected to affect southern China in the middle and latter parts of this week. A broad area of low pressure will develop gradually over the central part of the South China Sea in the latter part of this week, and move in the general direction of the vicinity of Hainan Island. Under its combined effect with the northeast monsoon, it will be windier with a few showers over the coast of Guangdong during the weekend. Besides, Tropical Cyclone Krovanh will move towards the vicinity of Shikoku to Honshu of Japan in the next couple of days, and transform into an extratropical cyclone gradually.
