At 5 a.m., Tropical Depression Hagupit was centred about 1020 kilometres east of Manila. It is forecast to be slow-moving, dissipating gradually over the seas east of the Philippines.

Weather forecast for today:
Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Showers will increase gradually with squally thunderstorms later, and will be heavy in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 29 degrees during the day. Moderate south to southwesterly winds, fresh offshore and on high ground.
